Integration Appliance (IntApp) Announces Availability of 3.2 Release

January 2006

PALO ALTO, Calif.--January 30, 2006--Integration Appliance (IntApp) today announced the availability of version 3.2 of its data communication and process automation technology. The new release includes support for web services, new file system management capabilities and improved reporting tools. Delivered as a self-contained appliance, IntApp allows organizations to share information between applications in real time and to automate a wide range of business processes. It includes pre-built solution templates, best practices and access to a collaborative user community of IT professionals.

"This is our most significant release to date. With 3.2 we make it even easier for IT organizations to tie together their existing information, applications and processes," said Jay Borenstein, CEO, IntApp. "But more than that, with our new web services capabilities, IntApp now provides the perfect bridge for organizations pursuing the vision of a service-oriented architecture but facing a mixed environment of legacy or hard-to-integrate applications that are evolving more slowly."

"We've been using Integration Appliance for several years and continue to discover new uses and new opportunities for the technology to make our business processes more efficient," said Chris Kave, automated practice system manager, Fish & Richardson LLP, a top-ranked intellectual property law firm. "IntApp's support for web services is a welcome addition to the product which will greatly expand our ability to deploy, manage and integrate web services in our environment."

IntApp helps IT organizations address common challenges such as process automation, data synchronization and user account provisioning. By centralizing data communication, IntApp also helps organizations reduce their risk profiles by providing built-in mechanisms for maintaining data integrity and business continuity in the face of disaster or downtime.

New enhancements now available include:

  • Web Services Support: Organizations can now use IntApp to interact with service-oriented applications, connecting them with legacy systems and controlling all data communication through a single interface. Users can register web services described by WSDL (Web Service Definition Language) documents, access and execute methods provided by those services via the SOAP protocol, and automatically parse and respond to the returned XML data.
  • File Management: New file management capabilities further expand IntApp's broad range of supported data repositories and communication protocols. Administrators can now retrieve, manipulate and store information on Windows, Unix and Linux file servers or user workstations.
  • Improved Reporting Tools: IntApp adds email attachment functionality to its existing scheduled and event-driven reporting tools. This new feature allows organizations to automatically collect and format data extracted from multiple repositories and deliver it to recipients' email inboxes for convenient access through tools such as Microsoft Excel® and Business Objects® Crystal Reports®.
