NetDocuments – report uploader
Automatically import documents from SQL Server Reporting Services, Marketing/CRM, or Practice Management into NetDocuments workspace or ShareSpace.
This solution can be used for collecting documents available via a web service (such as SSRS reports) and uploading the document to NetDocuments.
Connect to a web service source system, run a report, and have it automatically uploaded into NetDocuments with these options:
- Add the file to a Client, Matter, or User workspace
- Add the file to user home pages
- Drop the file into a ShareSpace so the client gets instant access
- Remove old reports (or make them old versions) so the latest report is always accessible at the same location
- Initiate an Intapp Flow request for client manager to review before publishing
By combining NetDocuments’ powerful APIs and the Intapp suite, the possibilities for elegant solutions are endless. We are experts in both NetDocuments and Intapp and can help your firm deliver exceptional service to your clients and users.

NetDocuments – home page & favorites manager
This set of Intapp Integrate rules and Intapp Flow forms allows firms to manage the Home Page and Favorite Workspaces for users automatically.
The NetDocuments Home Page and Favorite Workspaces are two of the most popular features of the system. It allows users to get quick access to documents that they use regularly. This solution allows firms to add to or remove from these lists. It can be used to make the user’s experience richer or to ensure that critical content is placed in front of the user automatically.
This set of forms and rules has these capabilities:
- Add document to selected groups home page
- Add workspace to selected groups home page and favorite matters
- Copy one users home page links to another user’s home page
An advanced modification of this solution can be used to automatically add matter workspaces to user’s Favorites based on their activity in the practice management system. For example, having recorded time against a particular matter could have that matter appear in Favorites.
By combining NetDocuments APIs and Intapp Flow/Intapp Integrate, the possibilities for elegant solutions are endless. We are experts in both NetDocuments and Intapp and can help your firm deliver exceptional service to your clients and users.

NetDocuments – client/matter management
Improve the way that Client/Matter profile attributes and workspaces are created by using Intapp Integrate and Intapp Flow to wrap business logic around the process.
The Client/Matter profile field attributes are the most important ones in your NetDocuments implementation. The free tools available from NetDocs are great, but sometimes you need just a little more control over the profile field creation process.
This solution can be used to manage Client/Matter data and provide regular reporting.
- Upload Client/Matter data from practice management with full audit and/or authorization in a workflow request
- Manage renames and key changes (where Client Number changes, for instance) either automatically or via an Intapp Flow Request, where users can choose whether to reprofile documents from old to new on a case-by-case basis
This solution will also provide a local copy of Client/Matter data in a database, regularly checked against NetDocs and your source system to ensure data integrity.
By combining NetDocuments APIs and Intapp Flow/Intapp Integrate, the possibilities for elegant solutions are endless. We are experts in both NetDocuments and Intapp and can help your firm deliver exceptional service to your clients and users.

Intapp Flow – documentation of flow
This Intapp Integrate rule extracts the XML of any Intapp Flow Form and its associated InForm Integrations and emails them to a designated Pinnacle email address where an automated routine produces the attachment and emails back a spreadsheet, which will list all the sections in the form and the questions within it.
The following information is documented:
- Where they appear on the form
- Question ID
- Question name
- Type of question
- List value integration name, location, and the SQL
- Default integration name, location, and the SQL
- Read only and hide conditions
- Requirement Group
It was created to allow a client to automate the production of the documentation explaining the installation. This rule allows for the automated updating of one of our Appendices. It also allows for the comparison of different instances of OPEN; for example, Live and Development or CTE. The rule could save the results into the firm’s DMS.
Intapp Flow components provided:
- One Intapp Integrate rules
Documentation: Technical overview summary document—no client specific documentation is provided.

NetDocuments – workspaces for non-matter cabinets
Add a user-driven workflow to the creation process for non-Client/Matter cabinets; for example, creating project workspaces in the Administration cabinet.
Law firms generally have one NetDocuments cabinet dedicated to Clients/Matters, and workspaces are generated automatically from integrations with the practice management systems. Optionally, firms have additional cabinets for Administration documents—such as IT, HR, Finance, and Operations. In these cabinets, the workspaces are created manually, with these problems:
- No defined approval process, causing duplication and bad naming conventions
- There is no source data to integrate with and no audit trail
- Reliant on a Systems Administrator to create them, causing delays
This solution is an Intapp Flow workflow, which has an approval process, full audit trail, and instant creation for new workspaces in Administration cabinets. Users can request a workspace, have it authorized by their manager, and instantly have the workspace appear in the right place.
By combining NetDocuments APIs and Intapp Flow/Intapp Integrate, the possibilities for elegant solutions are endless. We are experts in both NetDocuments and Intapp and can help your firm deliver exceptional service to your clients and users.

NetDocuments – private user workspaces
This workflow allows firms to automatically create private user workspaces in a dedicated Staff cabinet, encouraging users to file “WIP” and personal documents into NetDocuments.
Good document management and data governance mean making sure that all documents are stored in NetDocuments, including “Personal” and documents that are not ready to be filed in a Client workspace. Without an easy way to store these in NetDocuments, users will save these documents to other locations, including C drives and open-access shared folders.
The solution is to create private user workspaces in a Staff cabinet, with appropriate security so the user is confident colleagues and clients cannot see what they save. The workspace also needs to be accessible easily.
Our Private Workspace solution can:
- Watch Active Directory or any other source for user data
- Automatically create a workspace for that user in a custom Staff cabinet
- Apply appropriate security to the workspace
- Add a shortcut to the workspace to their home page, providing quick and easy access
By combining NetDocuments APIs and Intapp Flow/Intapp Integrate, the possibilities for elegant solutions are endless. We are experts in both NetDocuments and Intapp and can help your firm deliver exceptional service to your clients and users.

This solution can be used for integrating scanners or any other system, that drops files onto a fileshare.
Watch a folder for new documents and upload to a NetDocuments workspace or folder:
- Automatically based on metadata of the document, or
- Initiate an Intapp Flow request for a team to process before initiating the upload from within the form
By combining NetDocuments’ powerful APIs and the Intapp suite, the possibilties for elegant solutions are endless. We are experts in both NetDocuments and Intapp and can help your firm deliver exceptional service to your clients and users.

Extranet request
This workflow allows lawyers and support staff to request creation of an extranet for client collaboration. Collect validated client and matter information for potential chargeback, along with parameters for usage. This includes the type and detail of the extranet, external user accounts needed, and other pertinent details customized by your firm. Regular updates can be provided by the workflow, prompting practice group resources around retiring the extranet when appropriate and duplicating hosted content in firm-approved repositories, if needed.
Project scope and timeline contingent on specific customer requirements.

User data sync
Propagation of user information from system to system typically is a difficult process for any organization to manage. Firms regularly contend with duplicate user records, accounts with no correlation in other important systems, and users with improper access rights. This workflow allows Human Resources or IT administrators to kick off propagation of users from a single “system of record” to integrated firm systems. Whether pulling from Active Directory, a Master Data Directory, or the firm’s practice management system, user information will be created in integrated systems such as the DMS, Records management system, conflicts and intake, time entry, and other important repositories. A control report will make the initiating user aware of any issues or concerns related to the user propagation and provide regular overnight comparison user accounts between core systems.

Document request management
The document request solution encompasses document request management via a centralized team, with a wide range of service delivery options and completion back to the original requestor.
The solution allows teams to manage request allocation, whether as individuals or groups, with specific instructions concerning each person’s part in the creation process to improve the dissemination of tasks.
There is also control of regional variations, automated time zone corrections, and the control of confidential materials.
The process has been designed to reduce bottlenecks and maximize throughput to ensure that deadlines are met. Process alerts and notifications are configured to ensure that users have timely access to their requests. This process can be initiated from an email account, a folder drop box, or direct data input.
While the process can run standalone, it can also integrate with different practice and financial systems, including Elite and Aderant, to better manage the document request process.
Documents attached to the process can be saved to DMS systems such as iManage and/or uploaded to collaborative solutions like Box, HighQ, etc.
DRM is a pre-built template workflow that includes submissions, triage, resource allocation, tracking, notifications, and dashboards.
The objective is to quickly deliver a working solution that can be iteratively enhanced by either the customer development team or Stickleback. Project scope includes a detailed review of out-of-the-box capability versus customer specific requirements, a detailed gap analysis, project delivery plan, customization as deemed appropriate, deployment, handover, and training as required.

External company data integration
Developed for a number of clients and a number of scenarios, these questions, InForm integrations, and Integration Builder rules allow firms to request and incorporate company data from any external data provider.
The questions enable the user to select an organization from a list. Having selected the organization, additional data is retrieved from the data provider. This data can then be used within the workflow forms or simply passed to other systems such as the Practice Management System or CRM system.
Data that has been collected to date includes – static info such as date of incorporation, registered name, etc.; previous names, directors, shareholders, mortgage and debt information, industry sector, employee, and turnover figures, etc.
The application has been used for Anti-Money Laundering checks, Credit Assessments, Data cleansing and quality management, and for reducing the data entry requirements of the fee earners and secretaries in New Business Intake situations.
The solution is architected to ensure that the data is not refreshed more frequently than necessary – so if a search has already been run that day for that organization, it will not be rerun. This minimizes the costs for firms that have a per click or “per search” license.
Intapp Integrate rules have been developed to interface with Bureau van Dijke, Avention/OneSource, CreditSafe.
