Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer
Intapp co-founder Thad Jampol leads the company’s global product vision, design and development, and go-to-market strategy. He is the architect of the Intapp Industry Cloud. Thad has 20 years’ experience in bringing vertically oriented enterprise software solutions to multiple industries. He works with Intapp’s global customer base to address their key challenges, including growth, operational efficiency, risk management, and client success.
President & Chief Client Officer
Dan Tacone is Intapp’s President and Chief Client Officer. Since 2010, he has helped build Intapp into one of the most valued and trusted partners to professional service firms. With over 35 years of professional services experience, he plays a pivotal role in helping meet clients’ most pressing challenges in a changing yet vibrant environment. Prior to Intapp, Dan held leadership positions in sales, marketing, professional services and consulting at technology firms focused on the professional service industry. Dan was the COO of Elite Information Systems where he helped establish the company as the market leader offering practice management systems for the professional services industry before its acquisition by Thomson Reuters. At Thomson Reuters Dan held various leadership positions as a Senior Vice President.
Chief Strategy Officer
Mark is Intapp’s Chief Strategy Officer responsible for leading company strategy, planning, alliances development and merger and acquisition success.
He has over 25 years of strategy, operations, marketing, investments, and mergers & acquisitions experience in technology, software and manufacturing industries. For most of Mark’s career, he has held leadership and partner roles within professional services firms as well as engaged directly with the breadth of the firms Intapp serves. He has worked with hundreds of companies to develop and improve their strategy and performance as a consultant, CEO, COO, senior executive, board member, investor, and strategic coach/advisor. Most recently, he served as the President of Strategy, Investments and Marketing for Flex, the $25bn technology design and manufacturing firm. He was previously a partner at A.T. Kearney and PwC and was the founding CEO of E2open, the SaaS supply chain software firm which had an IPO in 2010.
Chief Financial Officer
Steve Robertson leads Intapp’s Finance, Accounting, Legal and Corporate Development teams. Steve joined Intapp in 2016 from Axiom Law, where he was CFO. Prior to that, he was CFO at RMS, the world’s leading catastrophe risk modeling company, and at CFO at InsWeb, a publicly traded online insurance marketplace. Prior to his CFO work, Steve spent 12 years in investment banking at Salomon Brothers, Alex. Brown & Sons and Smith Barney. He has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and an AB from Princeton University.
Chief Operating Officer
Don Coleman directs Intapp business operations globally, leading legal sales and marketing, professional services, and customer success. Over the last 15 years, Don has been instrumental in the growth of Intapp into a dynamic, customer-centric organization with 450 team members worldwide. Don previously oversaw mergers and acquisitions at Excite@Home, a pioneering provider of internet media services, which was acquired by InterActiveCorporation (IAC). He graduated from Stanford University with dual degrees in Economics and Biology.
Co-Founder & Senior Vice President, Technology
Intapp co-founder Dan Harsell has been responsible for product design, development and R&D functions throughout the company’s history. He heads development of the Intapp Industry Cloud, and is currently focused on software engineering, AI and data science, and cloud infrastructure and software service delivery. Prior to Intapp, Dan worked in multi-disciplinary engineering roles for a leading avionics company. He holds both BS and MS degrees from Stanford University.
Vice President, Human Resources
Michele Murgel brings more than 20 years of experience to her role at Intapp, where she focuses on growing a winning and motivated team. Her responsibilities include talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, learning and organizational development, and performance management. Previously, Michele led HR at Coupons.com, overseeing all human resources functions through the company’s IPO in 2014. Prior to that, she held leadership roles with Zappos, Macromedia, and Alias Research.
Vice President, Growth Marketing
Claire Darling joined Intapp in 2018 and is responsible for Growth Marketing and Corporate Communications. She is a modern marketing executive with a proven track record repositioning companies and creating categories for relevance and growth. She previously served as VP, Corporate Marketing at ServiceNow, where they grew from $500 million to ~$2 billion during her tenure. Claire previously held senior marketing leadership roles at VMware, Tibco, BEA Systems, and Adobe. She earned her BA in Commerce from Abertay Dundee University in Scotland.
Senior Vice President, Sales
Costa Harbilas leads Intapp’s sales teams globally. Costa joined Intapp from SAP where he spent the last 3 ½ years initially as the West Market Unit COO before being promoted to the North American GM for their Cloud ERP business. Before SAP, he had senior leadership roles at Predixion Software, HP Software, Gamma, CA, Cognos & EMC. Costa has an MBA from Pepperdine University and a BS from Cornell University.
Senior Vice President, Professional Services and Support
Duane Rusten leads Intapp’s Professional Services and Support team globally. In this role he is responsible for helping our clients adopt and realize the value of Intapp’s industry leading products and solutions. Prior to this role he was Vice President, Watson Health Implementations at IBM where he led a team of over 2,500 global resources focused on assisting healthcare clients adopt leading edge cognitive solutions.
Senior Vice President, Strategic Marketing
Pam leads corporate positioning and category definition initiatives for Intapp, in addition to overseeing the Product Marketing organization.
Pam Smith has been in marketing strategy and business advisory roles within the technology industry for over 25 years. She was a Partner at Regis McKenna Inc. a marketing and strategy consulting firm and has consulted to global industry leaders such as Cisco, Xerox, IBM as well as a wide variety of very successful early stage technology companies. Pam has also held positions as the most senior marketing officer within several companies seeing them through periods of high growth and acquisition. She most recently created the initial marketing plan for Looker that was acquired by Google for $2.7B. She also led the category creation and public filing efforts for Anaplan’s successful IPO. She is currently on the advisory board of several early stage technology companies.
Vice President and Head, Intapp Strategic Consulting
Sanjeev Gandhi leads Intapp Consulting, working closely with law firm leaders on technology, change management, and data strategies to improve profitability and drive client success throughout the client-matter lifecycle. He brings over 20 years of experience to Intapp, including 17 years at PwC. Sanjeev was a senior member of PwC’s consulting practice for seven years, where he focused specifically on the legal sector.
Chief Executive Officer
John Hall is the CEO of Intapp. Since joining the company in 2004, he has built Intapp into a global leader in software for professional and financial services firms, serving 1,300 customers. He is a regular presenter at industry events, covering topics such as technology and innovation, and how innovation can enable client success. Prior to joining Intapp, John co-founded VA Linux Systems and helped lead the company from its startup phase to its IPO. He is based in Palo Alto, California.
Charles Moran currently serves as a board member for Commvault ( CVLT ) since July 2018 and Manhattan Associates ( MANH ) since May of 2017, and several private companies.
Mr. Moran is the founder and former President and Chief Executive Officer of Skillsoft PLC, a leading global provider of cloud- based learning and talent management solutions. Mr. Moran held those positions from its founding in 1998 to 2015 and remained on as Chairman from 2015 to 2016. From 1995 to 1997, Mr. Moran served as President and Chief Executive Officer of NETg, a subsidiary of National Education Corporation, and a provider of computer-based training for IT professionals. From 1993 to 1994, he served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of SoftDesk, ( SDSK ) a leading Architecture, Engineering and Construction/Computer-Aided Design software application company, which was acquired by Autodesk. From 1992 to 1993, he served as President of Sytron Corporation, a data management software subsidiary of Rexon, Inc. From 1989 to 1992, he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Insite Peripherals, a manufacturer of high capacity floppy disk drives. Prior to joining Insite Peripherals, his experience included various management positions with Archive Corporation, Florida Data, and Hamilton- Avnet Corporation. From 2009 to 2014, Mr. Moran served on the board of directors at Higher One Inc, a leading payment technology provider for higher education. From 1997 to 2001, he served on the board of directors at Workgroup Technology, a client/server product data management solution.
Chris Gaffney serves on the Board of Directors of Intapp. Chris is a co-founder and managing partner of private equity firm Great Hill Partners, where he is responsible for transaction origination, investment policy, fundraising, investor relations and the general management of the firm. Chris has participated in the private equity business since 1986 and his investment experience covers a broad group of industries, including business and IT software and services, information services, eCommerce, consumer and online services, financial services and insurance, digital publishing, telecommunications, logistics, education, and cable and broadcasting. Chris earned a degree in accounting and economics summa cum laude from Boston College.
Derek C. Schoettle
Derek is responsible for collaborating with Great Hill portfolio companies to accelerate growth. He specializes in strategic differentiation, go-to-market, marketing, portfolio management, product management, new market entry, M&A, and other growth initiatives. Derek works closely with EnterpriseDB, Ikon Science, Intapp and Mission.
Derek has more than 20 years of experience leading high-growth technology companies and large scale, platform businesses, bringing disruptive technologies to market and achieving commercial success. Prior to joining Great Hill Partners in 2019, Derek was the CEO of ZoomInfo, a leading provider of B2B data and business information solutions for sales and marketing organizations. While at ZoomInfo, Derek accelerated the company’s growth from a leading sales and marketing performance management product to an intelligent, dynamic customer engagement platform, with ZoomInfo’s best in class data serving as its backbone. ZoomInfo was acquired by DiscoverOrg in February 2019.
Prior to Zoominfo, Schoettle was a General Manager at IBM leading the transformation of IBM’s Information Management business into a market leading hybrid cloud portfolio. As a General Manager at IBM Watson & Cloud Platform, Schoettle was responsible for strategy, offering management, overall go-to-market, business operations and customer success. Schoettle entered IBM in 2014 thru the acquisition of Cloudant where Schoettle served as CEO of the NoSQL database-as-a-service (DBaaS) provider. Before joining Cloudant, Schoettle was VP, CME Sales, at Vertica Systems, which was acquired by HP in 2011. He also served as VP of Sales and Business Development at Intellireach, which was acquired by Infocrossing.
Schoettle is a member of the Forbes Technology Council, a board member of MassTLC, an Entrepreneur in Residence at The Blank Center at Babson College and is active in a number of Boston-area start-ups. He holds an MBA from Babson College’s Olin Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from Dickinson College.
Mukul Chawla is a Managing Director at Temasek, where he focuses on global technology, media, and telecom investments, was instrumental in the launch of the firm’s North American operations and in the development of its buyout practice. He is a board director of Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX), Fanatics, WebMD, Internet Brands, Intapp, BluJay Solutions, SoundCloud and Pluribus Networks; a board observer of Creative Artists Agency (CAA), Virtu Financial and Magic Leap; led investments in current portfolio companies Dell Technologies, Airbnb, Sprinklr, Xiaomi, Wish, ClassPass, Poshmark, Asialnfo; and prior portfolio companies Ancestry.com, Jet.com, Jasper, Marin Software. Mr. Chawla previously served on the boards of Universal Space Network (SSC Space U.S.) and Aicent, Inc.
Prior to Temasek, Mr. Chawla worked at Warburg Pincus in New York and Cisco Systems in Silicon Valley; and served a term appointment at the Federal Communications Commission in the Obama administration. Mr. Chawla received a B.S. from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani; an M.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
After leading a prominent global law firm for nearly a quarter century, Ralph Baxter has turned his attention to a diverse set of activities, across the spectrum of the evolving legal profession.
He regularly advises law firms, legal technology start ups, and corporate law departments on their strategies and execution. He is an active writer and speaker, including participation in law firm partner meetings, about the emerging models for improved delivery of legal service.
He is a Senior Advisor and member of the Advisory Board of the Stanford Law School Center on the Legal Profession, a member of the Advisory Board of the Harvard Law School Center on the Legal Profession, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for the Study of the Legal Profession at the Georgetown Law Center.
From 1990 to 2013, Mr. Baxter served as Chairman and CEO of Orrick, leading Orrick’s progress from a domestic firm with California origins to become one of the world’s leading global firms. He launched numerous transformative initiatives during his tenure, including the creation of Orrick’s Global Operations Center in Wheeling, West Virginia, and changes in the firm’s talent and pricing models.
