David Lubars is the Chief Creative Officer at BBDO Worldwide. In the 16 years since Lubars joined BBDO as its creative lead, BBDO has received a significant number of awards, and wide-spread recognition for its creative work. For 14 years in a row, BBDO has been ranked as the world’s most awarded creative agency network. The agency was also named Network of the Year at Cannes a record-setting seven times.

In addition to these awards for creative work, BBDO was named the most effective agency network four times in the Effie Effectiveness Index. In 2019, the independent World Advertising Research Center (WARC) named BBDO the “Best of the Best” in its first-ever index of excellence, aggregating results from its Creative 100, Effective 100, and Media 100 rankings.

Lubars has personally won 200 Cannes Lions and five Emmys. His collection of BMW short films was the first-ever Titanium winner at Cannes, and is part of the Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection in New York City.

Most recently, Lubars was inducted into The One Club Creative Hall of Fame and was honored with a Clio Lifetime Achievement Award. He has also been named one of the top 10 creative directors of all time by Forbes.
