ILTA’s Distinguished Peer Award program recognizes premiership and provides a forum for peer-nominated, peer-judged innovations in technology and leadership. This was the sixth year of the annual awards program.

“We’re delighted that Dan Bressler has been recognized by the ILTA community for his significant contributions to the industry, including founding the Risk Roundtable Initiative and producing the Law Firm Risk Management Blog,” said Dan Tacone, president, Intapp. “By providing a forum for the legal community to share best practices, Dan is advancing the state of the art in legal information governance and risk management, and exemplifies Intapp’s long-standing commitment to working collaboratively with our customers, partners, and the broader legal community.”

“I’m delighted to congratulate Dan Bressler of Intapp for being honored with the ILTA Distinguished Peer Award for Vendor Thought Leader of the Year,” said Randi Mayes, executive director of ILTA. “This award recognizes an exceptional individual who maximizes the value of technology in support of the legal profession, provides quality educational opportunities for ILTA members and ongoing learning to help organizations navigate a complex and changing environment. Dan has made an outstanding contribution to the community, and I applaud his hard work, dedication and vision.”

Over the last 12 years, Dan Bressler has worked with the legal community to understand and respond to evolving requirements tied to information security, confidentiality management and business acceptance. He created and manages the Risk Roundtable Initiative, a unique forum for a diverse set of participants spanning risk, IT, finance and firm management to develop and share best practices for addressing risks driven by legal, ethical, client and regulatory requirements. He produces multiple programs including roundtable events that create an environment for participants to discuss and explore key issues; webinars providing expert commentary and case studies of approaches taken by individual firms; surveys providing quantitative and qualitative insight into industry trends; and the Law Firm Risk Management Blog, which provides coverage of relevant news, resources and developments.

About ILTA’s Distinguished Peer Awards Program

For over three decades, ILTA members have faced challenges in their law firms and law departments, and they’ve shared their struggles and their successes along the way. ILTA’s Distinguished Peer Awards program honors the achievements of those ILTA members who are leveraging the strategic advantages of technology for the legal profession. The program recognizes those who have delivered great business value and transformational impact through their innovations and implementations or have been champions in specific areas of focus for their organizations.

Within ILTA’s member community, the awards recognize outstanding achievements in organizational and individual excellence, and our vendors are recognized for superior achievements in innovation and thought-leadership.

Recipients were presented their awards during the annual award ceremony on September 1 in conjunction with ILTA’s annual educational conference, ILTACON 2015, held in Las Vegas.
