The Line editor Alice Murray wrote an article on how smaller firms are using tech to gain the scale and infrastructure needed to compete in the private wealth market. In the article, Rudy Saad, Global Head of Private Equity and Private Capital Markets at Intapp, contributed his thoughts on AI-enabled technology–like DealCloud–as an enabler, saying:
There has historically been a barrier to entry for firms raising capital from private wealth. Managers can raise capital through large wire-houses or RIAs at scale because of their brand and resources. Technology platforms give them the ability to aggregate and raise capital in a more scalable and efficient way, lowering the barriers to entry for investors and managers alike.
