Karen Jacks is the Chief Technology Officer for Bird & Bird, providing strategic planning, delivery, and support of IT solutions, innovation, information security, and telecommunications to 29 offices in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and the U.S.
Jacks has overseen the rapid expansion of Bird & Bird into many new territories since 2000 and has built the international team and solutions to support this. She has led the firm through a number of technology and business projects and is a regular and active contributor to articles and conferences in the U.K. and internationally, particularly in legal IT, legal tech, and emerging technologies in the U.K. and internationally. Jacks enjoys taking part in panel discussions and roundtables on innovation, the legal technology landscape, and current topics. She is involved in a number of advisory boards and is a keen supporter of diversity in technology, working with other leaders and organizations.
